Falling Prices for Ride-Share Services Provide Competition for CTA

It’s the latest iteration of the web-enabled transportation revolution kicked off by Uber. Via, Uber and Lyft all started offering the carpooling service in Chicago late last year. And they could pose a threat to public buses and trains, transportation experts say, with promotions that are pushing rates closer to CTA and Metra fares.
