‘Airbnb Bill’ Regulating Short-Term Rentals in Arizona Heads to Governor’s Desk

Last week, the Arizona Legislature passed Senate Bill 1350, which prohibits localities from banning short-term rentals, provides mechanisms to collect taxes and allows local governments to determine the details of short-term regulations. The bill is essentially directed at San Francisco-based home-sharing service Airbnb, and in some sense levels the playing field for those renting out their properties to vacationers.
